Teams
Chompers — Formerly called Dolphins
This group is intended for elementary-aged athletes who are new to the sport. Chompers will learn the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes. Athletes are expected to be able to swim 25 yards completely unassisted and without touching the bottom or side of the pool.
Equipment Requirements: fins & kickboard
Crocs — Formerly called Stingrays
This group is intended for elementary-middle school aged athletes. Crocs are ready to begin building more endurance by swimming more 50s and 100s. Athletes must be able to swim a 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke unassisted and without touching the bottom or side of the pool. They must also have a solid understanding of breaststroke and butterfly.
Equipment Requirements: fins, kickboard, & pull-buoy
Gators — Formerly called Stingrays
This group is intended for elementary-middle school aged athletes who can legally swim all four competitive strokes. Athletes must be ready to swim 200s. There is a jump in intensity from Crocs to Gators. Athletes must be ready to swim at a 2:00 per 100 base or faster.
Equipment Requirements: fins, kickboard, pull-buoy, & hand paddles
Elite Gators — Formerly called Sharks
This group is intended for middle-high school aged athletes who can legally swim all four competitive strokes. Athletes must be ready to swim 200s and must be ready to train at a high level of intensity. They must be ready to swim at a 1:40 per 100 base or faster.
Equipment Requirements: fins, kickboard, pull-buoy, hand paddles, & snorkel
